AI can speed up initial research, but a polished answer is not the same as a verified answer. A short review process helps you avoid repeating unsupported claims.
Separate questions from answers
Write down your original question and what evidence would satisfy it. Distinguish background context, facts, opinions and predictions.
Find primary sources
Whenever practical, follow citations to official documentation, first-hand reports, research papers or original datasets. Confirm that a source supports the specific claim made.
Check dates and definitions
Tool features, prices and policies change frequently. Look for publication dates, regions, product versions, sample sizes and limitations.
Compare independent evidence
For claims that matter, consult more than one reliable source. Do not treat multiple websites repeating the same unsupported statement as independent confirmation.
Mark uncertainty explicitly
If you cannot verify something, label it as unconfirmed, remove it or explain what additional evidence is needed.
Keep a short source trail
Save the URLs, dates accessed and relevant evidence for important statements. That makes future updates easier and helps readers understand your reasoning.
Use the same process for software reviews, business reports and everyday research tasks.
